Bryce Gartman's MPOR2 Race Report (2007)

Race Report: Kentucky Off Road Hare Scrambles Series (KORHS) - Round 10
Rider: Bryce Gartman - 1st Super Mini Winner - 1st Overall
Bike: 07 KTM 105SX

We're at Mountain Parkway for a track of the year venue. I loved the property and would have loved to do some free riding there. The mini course was definitely the tightest course we have had all year. The dirt was prime and I was ready to go.

I had a bad start and was playing follow the leader for the first lap. Austin made a small mistake of going the wrong way on the track and I used it to my advantage to get the lead. I rode from that point on in the lead and was granted a win for Round 10. This win gave me enough points to get the overall and the super- mini championship. I was extremely happy because this has been my first hard earned championship. I had a very good season and there where definitely some ups and some downs this season.

As for the rest of the pack, second place went to Cody Hardesty. He raced this race with an injured foot, but it didn't slow him down. Good job Cody! Austin had a great race, but he misunderstood my dad in the riders meeting that morning. He thought that all our arrows where just orange and black. We did have orange and black arrows but we where supposed to be looking for red ones too. Sorry for the confusion Austin. Seth Prince rode hard for a fourth place overall followed by Cody and Justin Spires, and Garrison Bullock. Garrison had a great early start to this race but ended up having bike problems towards the end. He burnt his clutch out and never really had much of a chance after that.

I really enjoyed this season, and am looking forward to the OMA round where we get to mix it up with the fast boys, and girls. See everyone next weekend.
