Race Report: Kentucky Off Road Hare Scrambles Series (KORHS) - Round 7

Round 7 of the Kentucky XC series was held at Saddleback East over the weekend. Fine weather and a big turnout of riders set the stage for great event.

The organizers had layed out a challenging 8.5 mile course that weaved its way through the valleys and ridges of the area.
Off the line I got a good start and was near the front of the pack. I was able to watch some of the local riders and learn the track and some good lines that they had up there sleeve. I picked up the pace near the end of the lap and got to the front. The amount of bikes on the track made racing a bit difficult. Many riders were having some problems on a couple of the steep and super slippery hill creating some small bottlenecks. I managed to pick some good lines through the problem areas and continued to build my lead throughout the race.

The CRF 450 was the perfect bike as the smooth power allowed me to get all my drive to the ground. After 2 hrs I took the chequered flag and the win.
