We're back again, for the 6th Round of the KY Harescramble Racing Series. The weather conditions where good but it could have been a little cooler! The track had a style different from most races this season. It was all bulldozed to make a really wide-open race course. Our mini course was a good 3.5 miles long with some nice up-hills, short mud holes, and dusty straight-aways. So after Rick gave us our short prep-talk to give us an enjoyable race day we where ready to take off. My line was first to take off and I was fortunate enough to get the holeshot and head into the woods with an early lead. As I headed into the woods I noticed that line selection made a difference in the first mile. I was glad I walked the track the day before. I ended up first place in the Super Mini class and Second place overall. Second place in my class went to Austin Schaffner who was racing a borrowed XR-100 and was turning in some impressive lap times on the little four-smoker with the text "BEAST" on the side. Third place went to Jonathan Cosby who was riding a KLX-110 and he showed everyone that it’s all about the rider not the machine. Forth went to Dillan Hamilton, fifth place went to Travis Beckner, and sixth place was Zachary Cecil. In the Mini A class Cody Hardesty was a man on a mission who proved it by taking the overall in the mini event. Second place in his class went to Seth Prince, third was Garrison Bullock, forth was Cody Spires, and fifth went to his brother Justin Spires.  The Mini B class win went to Matthew Moore, followed by Andrew Mueller, and Corey Rogers.  I have to say that we had a great race-day at MPOR #2 and am looking forward to the 2-man race at Big Hill.
