Race Report: Kentucky Off Road Hare Scrambles Series (KORHS) - Round 3

Thanks to the Kentucky Harescrambles series for providing us with another awesome race opportunity. The first hot races of the season are always tough but I had been training and hydrating to be prepared for it. My KTM started off like a rocket. I got the holeshot in the Light A Class, but everyone caught me on the S-curve section of the field. I led until I slid out in a turn and they all passed me. I quickly recovered and we were all together until I bobbled on a hill. Tristan and Loupie pulled away but I caught back up to them by the end of the first lap. Somewhere on the first lap I came around a corner and just rode off what seemed like the end of the earth. I landed in this huge pile of boulders! My KTM motored through it and I made sure not to make that mistake on the next four laps. I later came upon Andrew Matusek who was recovering from a crash. I was able to push and keep up with him for awhile. I liked the track, it was technical but had fast sections to make passes. I was pleased with my overall 5th place finish!
